Chandigarh, June 10, 2025 : Marking 11 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament Anurag Thakur addressed a press conference in Chandigarh, outlining the central government’s key welfare achievements across sectors.
Anurag Thakur shared data showcasing the government's efforts toward inclusive development - highlighting the construction of over 4 crore houses, 12 crore toilets, and provision of tap water to 15 crore households under various flagship schemes.
He said the Ayushman Bharat Yojana has provided free healthcare to over five lakh citizens and is the only programme worldwide offering free treatment to people above 70 years. He called it a global benchmark in public health delivery.
Anurag Thakur also noted that over 81 crore Indians are receiving free groceries through government schemes. He stated that no other country has implemented a food security programme of this magnitude, crediting the Modi government’s welfare model.
In a social media post, Anurag Thakur said the NDA government under PM Modi has brought dignity and upliftment to the poor and underprivileged through sustained focus on public welfare and inclusive development over the past 11 years.
At the BJP’s Chandigarh office, Anurag Thakur said the party remains committed to making India a developed nation by 2047.
He reaffirmed BJP’s mission of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas” as the foundation for national progress.
