External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar, on a six-day visit to France and Luxembourg, on January 6, 2025, interacted with members of the Indian community in Luxembourg, highlighting the significant deepening of partnership between India and Luxembourg across political, business, and technology domains.
He also appreciated the diaspora’s contributions in strengthening ties between the two nations.
Mr. Jaishankar held discussions with Luxembourg’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Xavier Bettel, on bilateral cooperation and the global situation.
The leaders specifically addressed finance, investments, digital technology, artificial intelligence, space, talent mobility, and the continued deepening of India–EU ties.
EAM Jaishankar also appreciated Bettel’s personal interest in sharing Luxembourg’s heritage and traditions.
The Union Minister also met Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg, conveyed the warm greetings of President Droupadi Murmu, and acknowledged the Duke’s positive sentiments towards India and strengthening the bilateral partnership.
