India-EU Free Trade Deal Will Boost Funding For Indian Startups And Lift Creative Economy: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the recent Free Trade Agreement between India and the European Union will benefit Indian startups by improving access to funding and will also boost India’s creative economy.

PM Modi was addressing the annual National Cadet Corps (NCC) PM’s Rally at the Cariappa Parade Ground in New Delhi on Wednesday evening.

PM Modi said that India has already signed several free trade agreements with countries including Oman, New Zealand, the UK, the UAE, Australia, and Mauritius, and emphasised that these pacts will generate vast opportunities for millions of young people. He said the youth of the country today are committed to a nation-first mindset.

The Prime Minister said, the NCC is a movement that makes India’s youth confident, disciplined and sensitive citizens dedicated to the nation. He said that today the world looks at India’s youth with great confidence, and this is because of their skills and culture. He noted that India’s youth are not only hardworking but also highly professional, and that is why they have great global demand.

Prime Minister Modi said that Indian doctors and engineers are building world-class healthcare systems and infrastructure in many countries, with teachers adding new values to societies abroad.

Extending greetings to the cadets and officers from across the country, PM Modi noted that over the years, the strength of NCC has grown from 14 to over 20 lakh cadets, with increased participation from border and coastal areas. The Prime Minister expressed happiness as there has been a significant rise in the participation of girl cadets this year.

The Prime Minister highlighted that Operation Sindoor has demonstrated the strength and valour of India’s forces and armed personnel. He said that the Operation showcased how Indian indigenous weapons have become advanced and high-tech. Mr Modi said that Viksit Bhrat is not limited to economic prosperity alone and urged citizens to give the highest priority to fulfilling national duties.

He underlined that NCC not only teaches marching but also instils responsibility as citizens, imparting skills and values that help cadets become better citizens.

PM Modi proposed that NCC, NSS, and My Young India organisation hold an event every 25 January to honour first-time voters on the occasion of National Voters Day.

On the occasion, a vibrant cultural programme was presented by NCC cadets, members of Rashtriya Rangshala and National Service Scheme, showcasing their role in nation building, social service and character development.

The NCC PM Rally marks the grand culmination of the month-long NCC Republic Day Camp 2026, which witnessed the participation of 2 thousand 406 NCC cadets from across the country, including 898 girl cadets. A total of 207 youth and officers from 21 foreign countries participated in the rally. The theme of this year’s rally is Rashtra Pratham – Kartavya Nishth Yuva. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was also present on the occasion.

PM Modi Highlights India’s Evolution To World’s Third-Largest Domestic Aviation Market Over Past Decade

Prime Minister Modi on Wednesday said, India’s aviation sector has undergone a historic transformation over the past decade, evolving into the world’s third-largest domestic aviation market.

PM Modi stated this in a video message at the Wings India 2026 event, which got underway at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad today. He recalled that air travel in the country was once limited to an exclusive club, but India is no longer limited to a privileged few and is becoming accessible to all.

The Prime Minister said that the UDAN scheme has enabled nearly 1.5 crore passengers to fly on routes that did not even exist a decade ago. The Prime Minister said India is positioning itself as a land of aviation opportunities, spanning aircraft manufacturing, advanced air mobility, and aircraft leasing.

Further, PM Modi mentioned that Wings India is no longer just a summit but has become a crucial platform shaping the future of India’s aviation ecosystem. Asia’s largest civil aviation event, Wings India 2026 will continue till Saturday, showcasing the rise of Indian aviation and the future of global flight.

PM Modi Hails President’s Address at Parliament Budget Session

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday praised President Droupadi Murmu’s address to both Houses at the commencement of the Budget Session of Parliament.

Posting on X, he said the address was “comprehensive and insightful,” reflecting India’s recent development and providing clear policy direction for the future.

PM Modi noted that it highlighted efforts toward a Viksit Bharat, focusing on farmers, youth, the poor, and the downtrodden, while reaffirming India’s commitment to reforms, innovation, and good governance.

PM Modi Meets Global Energy CEOs, Highlights $100B Investment Opportunities

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday interacted with 27 CEOs from global energy firms including TotalEnergies, BP, Vitol and Indian companies at Lok Kalyan Marg during India Energy Week 2026, as they expressed confidence in India’s growth, policy stability and long-term energy demand.

PM emphasised roundtables as key platforms for industry-government alignment to refine policies and position India as top investment destination.

He highlighted India’s rapid rise to third-largest global economy with decisive energy demand-supply role.

Citing investor-friendly policy reforms, PM Modi pointed out $100 billion exploration-production potential $30 billion Compressed Bio-Gas opportunity, plus gas economy, refinery-petrochemical integration, maritime and shipbuilding prospects.

Amid global energy uncertainty, Modi called for innovation, collaboration and deeper partnerships, reiterating that India stands ready as a reliable and trusted partner across the entire energy value chain.

The meeting was attended by Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and MoS Suresh Gopi.

Over 12,000 AYUSH Health & Wellness Centres Established Across Country, Says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that around 12 thousand AYUSH health and wellness centres have been established across the country to provide holistic healthcare services.

Addressing the centenary celebrations of Arya Vaidya Sala Charitable Hospital in Kerala virtually, PM Modi noted that in its 125-year journey, the institution has established Ayurveda as a powerful system of treatment.

Prime Minister Modi highlighted that the Vaidya hospital has been treating and providing ailment to people tirelessly since its establishment. He recalled the contributions of Vaidyaratnam P.S. Varier, the founder of Arya Vaidyasala, emphasising that his approach towards Ayurveda and his dedication to public welfare continue to inspire the citizens.

Prime Minister Modi lauded the contribution and role of Ayurveda in wellness.

Emphasising the long-standing method of treatment in Ayurveda, Prime Minister Modi said that it has been treating people from generation to generation and always been useful.

Underlining India’s emergence as a trusted destination for AYUSH-based Medical Value Travel, the Prime Minister asserted that the introduction of the AYUSH Visa is helping foreign visitors access better facilities in Ayurveda and traditional medicine.

PM Modi highlighted that the government has established the Ayush Export Promotion Council to promote Indian traditional wellness globally.

In his address, the Prime Minister underscored that India’s Ayush and herbal products exports have risen from 3 thousand crore rupees in 2014 to 6 thousand 500 crore rupees.

Describing the India-European Trade Agreement as historic, PM Modi said that this trade agreement will boost Indian traditional medical services and practitioners.

He said that this agreement will also support youth involved with Ayurveda and Yoga in the country, and added that the agreement will help in establishing AYUSH wellness centres in the EU.

Prime Minister Pays Homage to Punjab Kesari Lala Lajpat Rai

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid tributes to Punjab Kesari Lala Lajpat Rai on his birth anniversary.

PM Modi stated that he offered everything he had to liberate Mother Bharati from the chains of slavery.

“His life of sacrifice will continue to remain a source of inspiration for every generation of the country,” PM Modi said.

PM Underscores Role Of Discipline, Service And Wisdom In Shaping Earth’s Future

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday shared a Sanskrit verse emphasising universal principles of discipline, service, and wisdom as the foundation of Earth’s future:

सत्यं बृहदृतमुग्रं दीक्षा तपो ब्रह्म यज्ञः पृथिवीं धारयन्ति ।

सा नो भूतस्य भव्यस्य पत्न्युरुं लोकं पृथिवी नः कृणोतु॥”

The verse conveys that, universal truth, strict discipline, vows of service to all, a life of austerity, and continuous action guided by profound wisdom – these sustain the entire Earth. May this Earth, which shapes our past and future, grant us vast territories.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday condoled passing of Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar,

The Prime Minister posted on X:

The Prime Minister posted on X:
