PM Modi Launches Multiple Development Projects in Kerala
Flags Off Three Amrit Bharat Express Trains
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched various developmental projects and flagged off new train services in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
PM Modi launched the PM SVANidhi Credit Card and disbursed PM SVANidhi loans to one lakh beneficiaries. Mr Modi also flagged off four new train services, including three Amrit Bharat Express trains and one passenger train.
In addition, he laid the foundation stone for a CSIR-NIIST Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship Hub.
Besides these, he laid the foundation stone for a state-of-the-art Radiosurgery Centre at the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology in the city and inaugurated the new Poojappura Head Post Office.
Addressing a gathering in Thiruvananthapuram, PM Modi said, the entire nation is working cohesively towards the aim of ‘Viksit Bharat’ and that cities have a big role to play in ‘Viksit Bharat’. He added that the central government have been investing a lot in urban infrastructure over the last 11 years.
Referring to the reforms in income tax rates, the Prime Minister said that the middle-class people in Kerala also got the benefits of income tax exemption. The Central Government is making tremendous efforts to provide banking services to grass roort level. This helped them to get bank loans very easily.
Prime Minister said that PM SVANidhi scheme was conceived by the government to make the lives of people comfortable, including roadside vendors. He added that street vendors are getting credit cards, which were only with rich people in the past.
PM Modi Lauds Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s Life of Spiritual Practice and Selfless Service
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s life was an embodiment of both spiritual practice and selfless service. He said, countless campaigns are being carried out by his followers in service to the society, nation and humanity.
In his remarks during Shikshapatri Dwishatabdi Mahotsav through video conferencing, PM Modi said, projects related to education and health, the resolve for farmers’ welfare and initiatives connected with water conservation are truly commendable.
He said, it is inspiring to see all revered saints and devotees continuously expanding their responsibilities towards service to society.
The Prime Minister said, Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s life was connected to public service and public education and in the form of the Shikshapatri, he gave people invaluable guidance for life.
He said, India has always been dedicated to the Gyan Yoga, and the Vedas continue to inspire people for thousands of years and even today.
PM Modi said, today, the nation is advancing mass movements such as Swadeshi and Swachhata, and the echoes of the Vocal for Local mantra are reaching every home.
PM Modi to Distribute Over 61 Thousand Appointment Letters
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute more than 61 thousand appointment letters to the newly appointed youth in various government departments and organisations at the 18th Rozgar Mela on January 24, 2026, via video conferencing.
He will also address the gathering on the occasion.
The 18th Rozgar Mela will be organised at 45 locations across the country.
The newly recruited candidates will be joining various ministries and departments, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Health and Family Welfare Department, the Department of Financial Services, and the Department of Higher Education, among others.
Rozgar Mela is a key government initiative which aims at employment generation. Since its inception, more than 11 lakh recruitment letters have been issued through Rozgar Melas organised across the country.
PM Modi Says Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Was Visionary of Independent India
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was not only a great hero of the freedom struggle but also a visionary of independent India.
Addressing the Parakram Diwas programme in Andaman and Nicobar Islands via Videoconferencing today, PM Modi said that Netaji envisioned a nation which is modern yet rooted in India’s ancient consciousness.
He remarked that Netaji’s valour and courage inspire the countrymen and fill their hearts with reverence for him.
Extending greetings to all citizens on Parakram Diwas, he highlighted that in recent years, the day has become an integral festival of the nation’s spirit.
He added that the day will continue to strengthen India’s Resolve for Development.
The main celebration of Parakram Diwas this year is being held in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
PM Modi remarked that the land of the Andaman symbolises the belief that the idea of freedom never ends.
The Prime Minister said that it is the responsibility of every citizen of the country to acquaint themselves with Netaji’s vision. He emphasised that India today knows how to build, manage and use power.
Netaji’s Fearless Leadership, Deep Patriotism Continue to Inspire Generations: PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary, commemorated as Parakram Diwas.
He recalled Netaji’s indomitable courage, unwavering resolve and unparalleled contribution to the nation, stating that his fearless leadership and deep patriotism continue to inspire generations to build a strong India.
The Prime Minister also said that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose has always inspired him greatly.
He recalled that on 23rd January 2009, the e-Gram Vishwagram Yojana, a pioneering scheme aimed at transforming Gujarat’s IT landscape, was launched.
He noted that the scheme was launched from Haripura, which held a special place in Netaji Bose’s life, and recalls the warm welcome by the people of Haripura and the procession organised on the same road once travelled by Netaji Bose.
Prime Minister Modi also remembered that in 2012, a large programme was organised in Ahmedabad to mark Azad Hind Fauj Day.
He noted that the programme was attended by several people inspired by Netaji Bose, including former Lok Sabha Speaker P. A. Sangma.
Reflecting on the past, the Prime Minister stated that recalling the glorious contribution of Netaji Bose did not fit the agenda of those who ruled the nation for decades, and efforts were made to forget him.
He emphasised that the present belief is different and that, at every possible juncture, efforts have been made to popularise Netaji Bose’s life and ideals.
He noted that a landmark step in this direction was the declassification of files and documents relating to Netaji Bose.
Prime Minister Modi recalled that 2018 was a landmark year for two reasons.
He noted that the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Azad Hind Government was marked at the Red Fort, where he had the opportunity to hoist the Tricolour.
He also recalled his interaction with INA veteran Lalti Ram on the occasion.
The Prime Minister further recalled that in Srivijayapuram (then Port Blair) in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the Tricolour was unfurled to mark the 75th anniversary of Subhas Babu unfurling the national flag there.
He noted that three prominent islands were renamed, including Ross Island, which was renamed as Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Dweep.
The Prime Minister highlighted that the Kranti Mandir museum at the Red Fort houses substantial historical material related to Netaji Bose and the Indian National Army, including the cap worn by Netaji Bose.
He stated that this forms part of the efforts to preserve and deepen knowledge of Netaji Bose’s historic contribution.
The Prime Minister said that in honour of Netaji Bose, his birth anniversary has been declared as Parakram Diwas.
Highlighting a shining example of the resolve to shed a colonial mindset and the reverence for Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the Prime Minister remembered the decision to place a grand statue of Netaji Bose next to India Gate in the heart of the national capital. He said that the statue will inspire people for generations to come.

The verse conveys that the greatest valour lies in protecting the lives of others; one who takes lives is not a hero, but the one who gives life and protects the needy is the true brave.
