PM Modi Says India Remains Beacon Of Hope With Strong Economy

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India continues to be a beacon of hope for the world with its strong economy. He said, as India emerges as a beacon of hope for the world, rapid economic development has become the cornerstone for realising the vision of Viksit Bharat.

Addressing a post-budget webinar on the theme Sustaining and Strengthening Economic Growth, through video conferencing, Mr Modi said, today, the world is looking for reliable and resilient manufacturing partners. He said, India has the opportunity to become a key player in this direction.

Prime Minister Modi said, government intention and resolve are clear to Build more, produce more, connect more and Export more. Prime Minister said, India has entered into free trade agreements with many countries and doors of vast opportunities have opened up for the country. He said, it is everyones responsibility to never compromise on quality and the products should be of global standard.

Prime Minister Modi exhorted industries to step up investment in research and development and focus on quality. He said, to bring about ground-level changes, industry, financial institutions, and state governments must work together to make it a reality.

He said, the budget includes provisions for the Biopharma Shakti Mission, which aims to establish India as a global hub for biologics and next-generation therapies. He said, the mission seeks to position the country as a leader in advanced biopharma research and manufacturing.

Prime Minister Modi said, today a major transformation is taking place in the world economy. He said, the markets no longer focus only at cost but also looking at sustainability. He added that the industries that invest early in clean technologies will gain better access to emerging markets in the years ahead.

PM Modi said, the reforms introduced by the government in the MSME sector are showing a wide impact. He said, the development of a high-capacity transport system, better coordination between railways, highways, ports, airports, and waterways, and the expansion of multi-modal connectivity are essential to reduce logistic costs.

Visit Of Canadian PM Strengthens Foundation For Truly Renewed Partnership, Says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the visit of Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney to India, has built a strong foundation for a truly renewed partnership between the two nations.

The Prime Minister said that he looks forward to working together to build a future defined by trust, growth, innovation and shared prosperity for the people of both countries.

Responding to the X post of Canadian Prime Minister, PM Modi said: “You are absolutely right, Prime Minister Carney. Your visit has built a strong foundation for a truly renewed partnership.

I look forward to working together with you to build a future defined by trust, growth, innovation and shared prosperity for the people of our nations. @MarkJCarney”

In his post, Mr. Carney said: “This isn’t just a renewal of the Canada-India partnership — it’s an expansion with new ambition and focus, between two confident countries charting our own course for the future.”

Prime Minister Speaks With Amir of Qatar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

During the conversation, Prime Minister Modi conveyed that India stands firmly in solidarity with Qatar and strongly condemns any violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The two leaders emphasised the urgent need to restore peace and stability in the region through dialogue and diplomacy.

The Prime Minister also conveyed his appreciation for the continued support and care extended by the Qatari leadership to the Indian community in Qatar during this challenging time.

PM Talks With Crown Prince of Kuwait

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a productive telephone conversation with Crown Prince of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah.

During the conversation, the Prime Minister conveyed that India condemns the violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and stands with the people of Kuwait in this difficult hour.

The two leaders underscored the significance of dialogue and diplomacy in restoring regional peace and stability.

The Prime Minister also appreciated the Kuwaiti leadership’s continued support in ensuring the safety and well-being of the Indian community in Kuwait.

PM Modi Speaks With Sultan of Oman

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and exchanged views on recent developments in West Asia.

During the conversation, the Prime Minister condemned the violation of Oman’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The two leaders agreed that sustained diplomatic engagement is essential for the earliest restoration of regional peace and stability.

The Prime Minister also deeply appreciated Oman’s continued support to the Indian community.

PM Reaffirms Commitment To Wildlife Conservation On World Wildlife Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that World Wildlife Day is about celebrating the incredible faunal diversity that enriches our planet and sustains our ecosystems. He said it is a day to acknowledge everyone working towards wildlife protection and reaffirm our commitment to conservation, sustainable practices and protecting habitats so that wildlife continues to thrive.

The Prime Minister noted that India cherishes being home to some of the world’s most extraordinary wildlife. He highlighted that India is home to over 70% of the world’s tiger population, has the largest population of the one-horned rhino and the maximum number of Asiatic elephants. He further stated that India is the only place in the world where the majestic Asiatic lion thrives.

The Prime Minister underlined that the Government has undertaken numerous efforts for wildlife protection. These include the setting up of the International Big Cat Alliance as an exceptional forum to share best practices with fellow nations. Other efforts include initiatives aimed at protecting the Great Indian Bustard, Gharial and Sloth Bear, as well as the translocation of cheetahs.

Emphasising India’s cultural ethos, the Prime Minister said that our scriptures pray for the welfare of all living beings and inspire sensitivity towards wildlife along with conservation. He shared a Sanskrit verse on this occasion which says-

“निर्वनो वध्यते व्याघ्रो निर्व्याघ्रं छिद्यते वनम्। तस्माद् व्याघ्रो वनं रक्षेद् वनं व्याघ्रं च पालयेत्॥”

The verse conveys that without forests, tigers perish; and without tigers, forests are destroyed. Therefore, the tiger protects the forest and the forest protects the tiger, underscoring the deep interdependence of nature.

Prime Minister Extends Attukal Pongala Greetings

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his warm wishes to the people on the sacred occasion of Attukal Pongala.

The Prime Minister highlighted the special significance of the festival for Nari Shakti and prayed for prosperity, good health, harmony and togetherness in society on this auspicious occasion.

The Prime Minister wrote on X: “Warm wishes on the sacred occasion of Attukal Pongala. This festival has a special importance for our Nari Shakti. May this auspicious day bring prosperity and good health in everyone’s lives. May the spirit of harmony and togetherness be furthered in society.”
