Golaghat, April 5, 2026:
Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addressed a massive public rally in Golaghat district, Assam.
In his speech, Gandhi made a series of key promises. He said that if the Congress forms the government, justice would be delivered to Zubeen Garg within 100 days. He also announced financial assistance of ₹50,000 for women.
He further urged voters across Golaghat, Khumtai, Dergaon, Sarupathar, and Bokakhat constituencies to support and elect candidates of the opposition alliance.
Gaurav Gogoi, President of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), was also present at the rally.
Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi also took part in an election campaign in Biswanath Chariali. He campaigned in support of Congress candidate Jayanta Borah, addressing party workers and supporters at a public meeting.
