New Delhi, June 12, 2025: Lt Gen BKGM Lasantha Rodrigo, Commander of the Sri Lanka Army today visited the Headquarters South Western Command in Jaipur. He received a warm welcome from Lt Gen Manjinder Singh, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Command.
Their discussions focused on mutual interests such as regional security, joint training initiatives, capability development, and the exchange of best practices.
Lt Gen Rodrigo, who is on an official visit to India from June 11 to 14, 2025, also met senior officers to share operational experiences and explore opportunities for enhanced cooperation between the two armies.
This visit reinforces the strong defence cooperation between Sri Lanka and India, based on decades of shared history and mutual trust. The partnership spans joint exercises, training exchanges, capacity building, and coordinated regional responses.
