Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a skill fair in Lucknow on World Youth Skills Day, organized for trainees from skill development centers across all 75 districts, focusing on AI innovation, according to an X post by the Chief Minister today.
The event highlighted the state’s commitment to empowering youth through advanced skill training.
The skill fair, held at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, showcased the talents of trainees from Uttar Pradesh’s skill development centers, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence into vocational training.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honored several young individuals as “Youth Icons” and new entrepreneurs as “Industry Ambassadors” for their contributions to skill development.
He also flagged off “Skill Raths” to promote skill awareness across the state.
A significant highlight was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between @UPGovt and Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Prayagraj, to promote smart technology in skill training.
This partnership aims to enhance the quality of vocational education and align it with industry needs.
The event also featured exhibitions of products crafted by trainees, soft skill workshops, and a “Skill Olympic” to display technical innovations.
Over the past eight years, Uttar Pradesh has revitalized traditional enterprises, creating new opportunities for youth, said Yogi Adityanath.
The state’s efforts align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Skill India” mission, aiming to make youth self-reliant and strengthen the economy. The fair, running until July 16, 2025, included job fairs across districts from July 12 to 14, where selected candidates received appointment letters.
