Members of the Parliament from Uttarakhand met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi today regarding the terrible disaster in Dharali, Uttarkashi.
The Prime Minister expressed grief and distress over the disaster and said that he is constantly reviewing the relief and rescue work.
PM Modi assured that all the agencies of the Central Government and the State Government are engaged in the relief, rescue and rehabilitation work with full strength.
He also said that the Central Government stands with all the disaster-affected people. Also, the Central Government is helping Uttarakhand in every way to fight and come out of this disaster.
PM advised all MPs to stay in touch with the people living in the heavy rain and landslide affected areas of their constituency and provide them with every possible help.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi also spoke to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and took stock of the situation.
