Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta today flagged off 52 trucks loaded with relief materials to flood-affected Punjab.
In an X post, Gupta highlighted the gesture as a symbol of solidarity, stating that Punjab’s struggles are felt deeply in Delhi, with both regions united as a family.
She thanked ministers, officials, and volunteers for arranging food and essentials in record time and noted a conversation with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, assuring full support during this crisis.
Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva and cabinet ministers were present at the event.
The relief effort follows Punjab’s worst floods since 1988, with over 3.5 lakh people affected, prompting inter-state aid.
