New Delhi, September 5, 2025:
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has directed senior officials of the New and Renewable Energy Ministry to come up with a new geothermal policy for optimal energy utilization.
In a social media post, Mr. Joshi said that the new policy will help to ensure that geothermal energy is optimally utilised and becomes a viable, industry-friendly component of India’s renewable energy mix. He directed the officials during a meeting today in New Delhi to discuss the potential of geothermal energy in India.
