Reform, Perform, Transform Define Government: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the country is now moving beyond long-term pending problems and is firmly stepping onto the path of long-term solutions.

He said his government has been identified with Reform, Perform, and Transform, and the country has now boarded the Reform Express.

Addressing the media at the Parliament House complex in New Delhi on Thursday, PM Modi said, the government has laid emphasis on last mile delivery of the welfare schemes. He said the next 25 years will be crucial to achieve the goal of Viksit Bharat by the year 2047. He said, the President’s address to both the Houses of Parliament yesterday was an expression of the trust of 140 crore people of the country.

On the recent finalization of India-EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA), the Prime Minister expressed confidence that this is a major step in the direction of a confident, competitive and productive India. He said a new market has opened up and the country’s manufacturers must take advantage of the FTA. He said, India’s democracy and demography are the hope for the world, and now the country has become a centre of attraction.

On the second day of the Budget Session of the Parliament, PM Modi said, this is the time for solution rather than disruption, as the country is moving forward. He urged everyone to act constructively for the development of the nation. He said, in this temple of democracy, Parliamentarians have the opportunity to send a clear message to the global community about the country’s capabilities, and its dedication towards democracy.

PM Modi Calls for Transparent, Impartial and Secure AI Ecosystem

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasised on the need to work towards an Artificial Intelligence (AI) ecosystem which is transparent, impartial and secure. He said that there should be no compromise on ethical use of AI. He said this while interacting with CEOs and Experts working in the field of AI at his residence in New Delhi on Thursday.

The Prime Minister emphasised the need to embrace new technology in all spheres and use it to contribute to national growth. He also urged the use of indigenous technology across key sectors.

While speaking about the upcoming AI Impact Summit, PM Modi highlighted that all the individuals and companies should leverage the summit to explore new opportunities and leapfrog on the growth path.

He also said that through Unified Payments Interface (UPI), India has demonstrated its technical prowess and the same can be replicated in the field of AI as well.

Prime Minister Modi highlighted that India has a unique proposition of scale, diversity and democracy, due to which the world trusts India’s digital infrastructure.

Underscoring the need to create an impact with country’s technology as well as inspire the world, the Prime Minister urged the CEOs and experts to make India a fertile destination for all global AI efforts.

Aligned with the upcoming IndiaAI Impact Summit in February, the interaction was aimed to foster strategic collaborations, showcase AI innovations, and accelerate India’s AI mission goals. The high-level roundtable saw participation from CEOs of companies working in AI including Wipro, TCS, HCL Tech and others along with experts from IIIT Hyderabad, IIT Madras and IIT Bombay.

Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw and Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Jitin Prasada also participated in the interaction.

Beating Retreat Displays Strength of India’s Rich Military Heritage: PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that the Beating Retreat ceremony symbolizes the conclusion of the Republic Day celebrations, and displays the strength of India’s rich military heritage.

“We are extremely proud of our armed forces who are dedicated to the defence of the country” Modi added.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, also shared a Sanskrit verse on X, emphasising on wisdom and honour as a warrior marches to victory.

“एको बहूनामसि मन्य ईडिता विशं विशं युद्धाय सं शिशाधि।

अकृत्तरुक्त्वया युजा वयं द्युमन्तं घोषं विजयाय कृण्मसि॥”

The verse conveys that, Oh, brave warrior! your anger should be guided by wisdom. You are a hero among the thousands. Teach your people to govern and to fight with honour. We want to cheer alongside you as we march to victory!

Economic Survey Presents Comprehensive Picture of India’s Reform Express: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Economic Survey tabled today presents a comprehensive picture of India’s Reform Express, reflecting steady progress in a challenging global environment.

Responding to a post by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on X on Thursday, PM Modi said: “The Economic Survey tabled today presents a comprehensive picture of India’s Reform Express, reflecting steady progress in a challenging global environment.

It highlights strong macroeconomic fundamentals, sustained growth momentum and the expanding role of innovation, entrepreneurship and infrastructure in nation-building. The Survey underscores the importance of inclusive development, with focused attention on farmers, MSMEs, youth employment and social welfare. It also outlines the roadmap for strengthening manufacturing, enhancing productivity and accelerating our march towards becoming a Viksit Bharat.

The insights offered will guide informed policymaking and reinforce confidence in India’s economic future.”

Meghalaya CM Briefs PM Modi On State’s Development

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Thursday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, and briefed him on the state’s development progress and future priorities.

Mr. Sangma thanked the Prime Minister for his Statehood Day wishes and support, and appreciated PM Modi’s global recognition of the Living Root Bridge Cultural Landscape.

He briefed Modi on Meghalaya’s improving economic performance, advances in maternal health and human development, and initiatives to strengthen the rural economy and tourism.

Updates were also shared on the New Shillong City project and preparations for the 39th National Games in 2027.

The Prime Minister assured continued central support for Meghalaya’s growth.

HD Deve Gowda Meets Prime Minister

Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda on Thursday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi stated that HD Deve Gowda’s insights on key issues are noteworthy and his passion for India’s development is equally admirable.
