India Riding On “Reform Express” Focused On Delivery Excellence And Technology-Led Governance: PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the country is riding on the Reform Express with Government simplifying processes, improved Ease of Doing Business and expanding Technology-Led Governance.
He emphasized that the focus must not be limited to policy intent only but also on delivery excellence to maintian this momentum.
Addressing a Post Budget Webinar on “Technology, Reforms and Finance for Viksit Bharat” via video conferencing, PM Modi said, reforms should be evaluated not by announcements but by their impact on the ground.
He emphasized to increase transparency, speed and accountability through the extensive use of AI, blockchain and data analytics. The Prime Minister said, over the past decade, Government has placed a big focus on infrastructure. He said, Government made this decision thoughtfully, that India’s development will happen only by preparing solid assets like Highways, Railways, Ports, Digital Network, Power Systems.
Prime Minister Modi said, these will generate productivity for many decades to come. He said, this is precisely why Public Capital Expenditure is being continuously increased. He highlighted that 11 years ago only two lakh crore rupees were allocated in the budget but in the latest union budget it has crossed 12 lakh crore rupees.
The Prime Minister said, the Budget is often evaluated on different parameters. Sometimes the discussion revolves around stock market movements, and at other times it focuses mainly on income tax proposals.
PM Modi said, the truth is that the national Budget is not a short-term trading document, it is a policy roadmap. He said, therefore, the effectiveness of the Budget should also be assessed on solid and substantive parameters.
Prime Minister Modi said that the webinar shouldn’t be limited to only a platform for exchange of ideas, instead it must become brainstorming exercise. He said, when Industry, Academia, Analyst and policy makers think together then implementation of schemes becomes better and it delivers accurate results.

Highlights “Strength Within” At Rising Bharat Summit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Rising Bharat Summit, centering his remarks on the theme of “Strength Within.” Highlighting India’s journey over the last 11 years, the Prime Minister spoke extensively on reclaiming national potential, economic self-reliance, and the roadmap for a developed India by 2047.
Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister stated, “Our scriptures say, ‘Tat Tvam Asi’, meaning the Divinity we seek is within us. We must recognize the potential that lies inside. In the last 11 years, India has recognized that very strength and is making constant efforts to empower it.”
He emphasised that national potential is built over generations and said a new energy has flowed into the country as it reclaims its lost strengths.
PM Modi noted that the nation is refocusing on manufacturing, improving product quality, and strengthening economic policy to build a robust foundation.
“By strengthening the banking system and successfully controlling double-digit inflation, the government has effectively turned India into the world’s growth engine.”
He pointed to leadership in Digital Public Infrastructure, including the Jan Dhan–Aadhaar–Mobile trinity, and said Rs. 24 trillion has been transferred through DBT without leakages.
On Artificial Intelligence, he said, “In previous industrial revolutions, India and the Global South were merely followers. But in the era of Artificial Intelligence, India is a partner in decisions and is shaping them.”
Calling for long-term vision, he highlighted India’s progress in semiconductors, green energy, solar energy, ethanol blending, defence production, mobile manufacturing, drones technology, critical mineral infrastructure.
PM Modi mentioned Rs 28 lakh crore agricultural loans, Rs. 4 lakh Crore deposits via PM KISAN.
Urging citizens to strive for world-class excellence, the PM said: “This is the time to take India to new heights. Let every individual aim for excellence... we should not just do routine work, we should do world-class work.”
PM Modi To Visit Ajmer, Launch Rs. 16,680 Crore Development Projects
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ajmer, Rajasthan, on February 28, 2026, and launch, inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth over 16 thousand 680 crore rupees. He will also address a public gathering on the occasion. The projects span key sectors, including urban development, drinking water supply, roads, irrigation, energy, and industrial infrastructure.
In a major step towards strengthening preventive healthcare and advancing women’s well-being, the Prime Minister will launch a nationwide campaign for Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination for girls aged 14 years. This initiative aims to prevent cervical cancer, which is one of the leading causes of cancer-related morbidity in women and marks a significant milestone in safeguarding the long-term health of girls and women across the country.
Providing a major boost to road connectivity, the Prime Minister will inaugurate several National Highways projects, including the 4-lane greenfield expressway from Bandikui to Jaipur, the 6-lane access-controlled green highway in the package 7 section of the Amritsar-Jamnagar Economic Corridor and the 8-lane carriageway in the package 14 section of the Delhi-Vadodara Access-Controlled Greenfield expressway, among others. He will also lay the foundation stone of the 4-lane Elevated Road in Jodhpur City and the Malabmori-Mangrol-Baran State Highway in Baran district, among others.
In line with the Government’s commitment to ensuring safe and clean drinking water for all, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for four packages of the Nonera Major Drinking Water Project and five packages of the Parwan Akawad Major Drinking Water Project.
To strengthen renewable energy infrastructure and ensure seamless transmission from generation hubs in Rajasthan, the Prime Minister will inaugurate transmission systems for the evacuation of power from Renewable Energy Zones (REZ) in Rajasthan. He will also lay the foundation stone for five 220 KV Grid Substations and two 400 KV Grid Substations along with associated transmission lines.
Furthering commitment to employment generation and youth empowerment, the Prime Minister will distribute more than 21 thousand 800 appointment letters to newly recruited youth in various Government departments and organisations in Rajasthan.
Prime Minister Modi To Inaugurate Sanand ATMP Facility In Gujarat
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Semiconductor Assembly, Test and Packaging (ATMP) facility of Micron Semiconductor Technology India Private Limited in Sanand, Gujarat February 28, 2026 evening. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.
The inauguration marks a significant milestone in India’s semiconductor manufacturing journey, with the commencement of commercial production and shipment of the first made-in-India semiconductor memory modules from the Sanand ATMP facility. This development represents a major step forward in strengthening India’s position in the global semiconductor value chain.
The project, which had its ground-breaking ceremony in September 2023, was the first proposal approved under the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM). With a total outlay of more than 22 thousand 500 crore rupees, construction commenced soon after approval, reflecting the Government’s commitment to fast-tracking strategic semiconductor investments in the country.
The Sanand facility, once fully ramped up, will feature approximately five lakh square feet of cleanroom space, making it one of the world’s largest raised-floor cleanrooms. The facility is designed to serve customers worldwide and address the growing global demand for memory and storage solutions, driven by rapid advancements in Artificial Intelligence and high-performance computing.
The Sanand ATMP facility will convert advanced Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) and NAND semiconductor wafers from Micron’s global manufacturing network into finished memory and storage products, catering to customers across global markets.
The establishment and operationalisation of this facility underscores India’s emergence as a trusted and competitive destination for semiconductor manufacturing and aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of building a resilient and self-reliant technology ecosystem in the country.
PM Modi To Visit Tamil Nadu And Puducherry
Will Inaugurate, Dedicate And Lay Foundation Stones For Development Projects Worth Over Rs. 7,100 Crore
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on March 1, 2026.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate, dedicate to the Nation and lay the foundation stone of various development projects worth over Rs. 2,700 crore in Puducherry. He will also address the gathering.
Thereafter, he will travel to Madurai where, he will inaugurate, dedicate to the Nation and lay the foundation stone of infrastructure projects worth over Rs. 4,400 crore. He will also address the gathering. At around 4 PM, the Prime Minister will perform darshan and pooja at Arulmigu Subramaniyaswamy Temple in Madurai.
PM in Puducherry
The Prime Minister will inaugurate, dedicate to the Nation and lay the foundation stone of multiple projects aimed at strengthening infrastructure, urban services, industrial development, education, healthcare and sustainable growth in Puducherry.
Key initiatives to be inaugurated include the launch of e-Buses under the PM e-Bus Seva Initiative; the Integrated Command and Control Centre under the Smart City Mission; tenements for Economically Weaker Sections under the CITIIS initiative; and major sewerage and water supply projects of the Government of Puducherry.
He will also inaugurate the Composite Engineering Block – Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Block and Ganga Hostel of National Institute of Technology, Karaikal; the modernization of the Regional Cancer Centre at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research; and new annexe buildings, lecture halls and hostels of Pondicherry University.
The Prime Minister will dedicate to the Nation the 750-acre Karasur-Sedarapet Industrial Estate, which will house a Pharma Park, Textile Park, IT Park, a research and development centre of Indian Institute of Technology Madras and advanced healthcare facilities of JIPMER.
He will lay the foundation stone of water supply projects to improve drinking water systems in Puducherry, 41 rural roads under the PMGSY, development of Heritage Town in Puducherry, mangrove restoration under the MISHTI scheme, projects in water supply and sanitation sectors, and power sector projects under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), among others.
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of projects covering urban roads, drainage networks, public buildings, student hostels and sports facilities under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme. The Government of India has approved inclusion of Puducherry under the SASCI scheme, enabling capital asset creation works for infrastructure and public utilities.
PM in Madurai
In Madurai, the Prime Minister will inaugurate, dedicate to the Nation and lay the foundation stone of infrastructure projects worth over Rs. 4,400 crore aimed at enhancing connectivity, mobility and regional economic development.
He will lay the foundation stone for four-laning of the Marakkanam–Puducherry Section of NH-332A and the Paramakudi–Ramanathapuram Section of NH-87. The Marakkanam–Puducherry project will reduce travel time from one hour to about 30 minutes and improve connectivity to Mamallapuram (Mahabalipuram), Kalpakkam Atomic Power Station and Auroville, while boosting tourism and economic activity.
The Paramakudi–Ramanathapuram project will reduce travel time from one hour to approximately 35 minutes and provide faster access to Madurai, Rameswaram and Dhanushkodi. It will also enhance multi-modal connectivity linking major railway stations, airports and ports in the region, aligned with PM Gati Shakti.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate eight redeveloped railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme in Tamil Nadu — Morappur, Bommidi, Srivilliputtur, Sholavandan, Manaparai, Pollachi Junction, Karaikkudi Junction and Thiruvarur Junction — upgraded with modern passenger amenities and improved accessibility.
He will also dedicate to the Nation the Chennai Beach–Chennai Egmore 4th Line to enhance operational efficiency of the suburban rail network.
To strengthen broadcasting services in the State, the Prime Minister will inaugurate three new Akashvani FM relay transmitters at Kumbakonam, Yercaud and Vellore to expand regional coverage and improve access to public broadcasting services.
Prime Minister Pays Tributes To Chandra Shekhar Azad On Martyrdom Day
Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered his respectful tributes to the legendary revolutionary, Chandra Shekhar Azad, the brave son of Mother India on his martyrdom day .
The Prime Minister stated that Azad sacrificed his everything to free Mother India from the shackles of slavery, and for this, he will always be remembered.
Reflecting on the legacy of the immortal revolutionary, the Prime Minister remarked that the life of Chandra Shekhar Azad demonstrates that the resolution to stand firm against injustice is the essence of true prowess.
