India Signs Major ₹5,083 Cr Maritime Defence Deal

 

The Ministry of Defence signed contracts for the acquisition of six Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH) Mk-III (Maritime Role) for the Indian Coast Guard and Surface-to-Air Vertical Launch - Shtil missiles for the Indian Navy in the presence of Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh at South Block, in New Delhi on March 03, 2026. New Delhi, March 3, 2026:

The Ministry of Defence has signed contracts worth ₹5,083 for Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH) and Shtil missiles, in the presence of Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh in New Delhi.

The contract with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited covers six Advanced Light Helicopters Mark-two Maritime Role for the Indian Coast Guard, along with the Advanced Light Helicopter Mark three package, engineering support and logistics.

These twin-engine helicopters will strengthen maritime surveillance and offshore protection.
