Guwahati, May 15, 2026:
Senior BJP leader Chandramohan Patowary today took oath as the Protem Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly at Lok Bhavan in Guwahati.
Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya administered the oath of office to Chandramohan Patowary.
As Protem Speaker, Patowary will temporarily preside over the Assembly proceedings until a permanent Speaker is elected.
