The bye election for Assembly Constituency 64 - Ludhiana West in Punjab concluded on June 23, 2025 with a decisive victory for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
Sanjeev Arora secured a strong mandate, outpacing rivals from Congress, BJP, and Shiromani Akali Dal.
The contest, held after the passing of AAP MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi, saw a voter turnout of 51.33% and featured 14 candidates.

Bye Election Results: Ludhiana West, Punjab (Descending Order)
SANJEEV ARORA (Aam Aadmi Party) emerged victorious with 35,179 votes (35,144 EVM + 35 postal), capturing 39.02% of the total votes.
BHARAT BHUSHAN ASHU (Indian National Congress) finished second with 24,542 votes (24,510 EVM + 32 postal), accounting for 27.22% of the votes.
JIWAN GUPTA (Bharatiya Janata Party) took third place with 20,323 votes (20,299 EVM + 24 postal), representing 22.54% of the total.
ADVOCATE PARUPKAR SINGH GHUMAN (Shiromani Akali Dal) secured 8,203 votes (8,198 EVM + 5 postal), which is 9.10%.
