Cyprus has fully backed India's fight against terrorism.
After delegation-level talks with India, Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides addressed a joint press conference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Cyprus President recalled the heinous attack in Pahalgam and extended support to India's fight against terrorism.
"Recently, a very cowardly terrorist attack took place in Pahalgam. I would like to reiterate publicly that Cyprus fully supports India. We stand with India in its fight against terrorism. We must fight terrorism in all its forms. Terrorism cannot be accepted under any circumstances," President Christodoulides said.
He added that "Hon’ble Prime Minister, we stand with you and support your rights so that we can ensure the safety and security of your citizens"
The Cyprus President also highlighted the historic friendship between the two nations, emphasizing that the relationship between Cyprus and India is built on shared historic experiences and common values.
He also invited PM Modi for an EU Council meeting that will be held in Cyprus next year.
