Vidisha, August 17, 2025:
Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan inspected damaged soybean fields in Chorkhedi, Vidisha, today after receiving complaints about crop losses due to weed killers.
Mr. Chouhan assured farmers that injustice would not be tolerated and promised legal action.
He urged farmers nationwide to report similar incidents for investigation and action against culpable companies.
Announcing a countrywide campaign against fake pesticides and fertilizers, he revealed plans for a toll-free number and new legislation to end farmer exploitation.
